Ready Player One, for the 3rd time

I am on my third time through the audiobook for "Ready Player One" by Earnest Cline, and I just cannot get enough of this book. The way it works, the way it's written, the flow, just so well done. The amount of back story he had to create to even bring this world of his to life is insane. Either he really is as big of a trivia guy as his characters, or he is amazing at doing research and coming up with ideas on how to tie it all together.
The book is narrated by Will Wheaton, and he has one of those voices that just doesn't sit right at first, but the more you listen, the more intoxicating it becomes. He doesn't do too many different voices when reading, mainly just to show age or gender, but he still finds a way to give each charater their own personality through his inflections. It might also be my minds pre-existing attachment to him as a nerd icon that makes the fact that he is reading the book so much more believable for the story.
They are working on a movie for this book, directed by Steven Spieberg with the screen play written by the author himself. My only gripe so far is with the choices for actors. The mental images I got of the character descriptions doesn't match the actors they picked. Plus the fact that the way they describe the main female charater, looks nothing like the actress to play her. The actress looks way too skinny for the role, and I am rather bummed about that. Hollywood spends way too much time white washing and beautifying characters on screen. They said it's what the people want, but the people only want it because that's what the media feeds them. It is a vicious cycle that I fear will never end, but that is a post for another time.
I at least like that they cast Simon Pegg in the movie, and hope he lives up to the epicness of his role. He does such an amazing job in everything he is in, and I pray that this movie lives up to that. I have such high expectations as a fan of the book, I am going to be so mad if they butcher it bad. Micheal Bay ruined so many childhood memories, please don't let Spielberg ruin this new Geekdom thing that I like.
Well, that is all for today. I really suggest giving this book a chance, it is a phenomenal read, and it is even more epic if you catch all the references in it.
Well I best be getting off my lunch break, I would rather stay here writing all day, but hey, thats just the Bloodwine talking.
